I first started researching the Nurse family tree in early 2003. Like most other researchers I wished now that I had done so some years earlier when my grandparents and parents where alive. Their past knowledge would have been greatly appreciated and made it so much easier, but thanks to living relatives and friends I have managed to put together a comprehensive family tree.

My family mostly came from Rothley in Leicestershire so that is where I began my search, but this has now spread to the whole of Leicestershire and beyond. Although I initially concentrated on the Nurse name, due to marriages there are now a number of other surnames within the tree.

I was born like my two sisters in Brookleigh House in Rothley this was my grandparents house and when they had both past on, my uncle William Nurse who was already living at the house stayed there until the early sixties.

The Nurse family tree as now grown to over 600 names and still growing.
